Preparing for WrAP

Preparing for WrAP

One of the best ways to prepare for this kind of test is by practicing writing skills. Your student can do so on his or her own or through ERB’s Writing Practice Program (WPP). WPP is designed to let students practice their skills at their own pace. It offers writing prompts similar to those on WrAP and helps prepare students for that assessment, as well as high-stakes state assessments or admission tests.

Tips:

  • Be sure your child is well rested prior to testing. A good night’s sleep and a healthy breakfast will help your child concentrate better.
  • Your school may supply a list of needs for test day, such as pencils and erasers. Ask if there is anything your child may need prior to test day.
  • Give yourself plenty of time to get to the school to avoid rushing and causing stress for the student.
