Preparing for the ISEE

ERB provides What to Expect books online at no charge. The books allow
parents and students to review the types of questions presented on each level of the ISEE test. The What to Expect books are also available in hard-copy format for $20 each.

What to Expect books available are:

  • What to Expect on the ISEE – Lower Level (Applicants to Grades 5 & 6)
  • What to Expect on the ISEE – Middle Level (Applicants to Grades 7 & 8)
  • What to Expect on the ISEE – Upper Level (Applicants to Grades 9–12)

Each book includes level-specific background information about the ISEE test and experience, including:

  • Sample questions
  • Full-length practice test
  • Scoring information
  • Instructions on how to read the Individual Student Report (ISR) received after testing

The Association of Boarding Schools (TABS) is making it easier for parents and students to find the right school for them by offering online, virtual Boarding School Expos. Here you can "visit" schools right from your own home, at no cost. You will be able to IM and video chat online with admission representatives and boarding school students, download school view books, and visit the virtual theater to learn more about the application process, testing, and more.
