In doing so, we help enable schools, educators, and families to unlock their students' full potential. Our technology team is looking for a Business Analyst to join the team.

Your primary focus as the Business Analyst will be planning, managing, and coordinating for the technology department.
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including business users and technical team, to gather and document detailed requirements for technology projects. This involves understanding the current business processes, identifying pain points, and defining the desired outcomes.
  • Create comprehensive and clear documentation of business requirements, functional specifications, use cases, and process flows. These documents serve as a foundation for the development and implementation phases.
  • Analyze and prioritize requirements based on business value, impact, and feasibility. Help stakeholders make informed decisions about which features or changes should be implemented first. Monitor and maintain the project schedule, coordinating with the VP of technology and the technology team.
  • Act as a bridge between business and technical team, facilitating effective communication and understanding between the two groups. This includes translating technical jargon into business terms and vice versa.
  • Manage relationships with various stakeholders, including business users, developers, QA, and other relevant parties. Listen to concerns, gather feedback, and ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with users and developers to define solution designs that meet business requirements. This may include creating mockups, wireframes, and prototypes to visually represent the proposed solutions.
  • Work closely with the testing team to ensure that the developed solutions meet the specified requirements. Review test cases, participate in testing efforts, and verify that the final product aligns with the intended functionality.
  • Assist in managing the change process that accompanies technology projects. Help users understand and adapt to new processes and systems by providing training, documentation, and support.
  • Analyze issues that arise during development or implementation and work with the team to find solutions that align with the project's goals and requirements.
  • Identify potential risks and issues early in the project lifecycle and work with relevant teams to develop mitigation strategies.
  • Perform ad hoc duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; additional education preferred
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence)
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently on detailed assignments
  • Google/MS Office/Lucid/Miro
  • Ethical conduct in all things
