ERB is committed to helping educators unlock their students' full potential through data and insight. We are also committed to engaging in national conversations about student growth and learning, standardized assessment, and the intersection of student well-being and achievement. Our Professional Development services include workshops and trainings, keynote speakers, conference presentations, and customized professional development experiences for Member Schools, organizations, and homeschool groups.

We offer workshops, training sessions, and speakers that cover a wide range of topics relating to data, insight, assessment, social-emotional learning, and student well-being.

Fully Customizable

All Professional Development experiences include a pre-workshop planning meeting where ERB will discuss workshop customization to best meet your needs.

In-Person or Remote

Professional Development experiences can be delivered remotely, via video conferencing, or in person. On-site sessions require travel fee reimbursement.

These are some examples of past topics and workshops we've created for other Member Schools. We can customize any of the below to meet your school's specific needs or develop a completely personalized offering.

This workshop facilitates a discussion on the value of understanding and addressing student (and adult) well-being on campus and introduces participants to ERB’s Check-In Survey as a tool to aid schools in their well-being initiatives. Recommendations for implementation and use will be included. The option to include customized roll-out plans and curriculum alignment is available for longer sessions.

ERB Programs and Assessments

This workshop is designed to orient new members/users to the ERB assessments or programs. The workshop facilitator will customize the focus of the workshop to ensure that all level users leave feeling confident and prepared to administer or implement their chosen products.

This workshop will focus on understanding and using data from your Whole Child tools to support student well-being, growth, and learning. The outline for the day will be customized based on school specific data and goals.

This workshop is designed for schools that would like ERB facilitators to train faculty proctors and test administrators on administering the CTP and/or Milestones assessments.

This workshop is designed for schools that would like ERB facilitators to train faculty proctors and test administrators on administering WrAP.

This workshop is designed for schools that would like ERB facilitators to train faculty on using and implementing the ERB Writing Practice program.

This workshop is focused on using ERB writing tools to improve student writing. Longer workshop sessions will be customized to the specific writing product(s) being used and include customized curriculum implementation recommendations.

This workshop will introduce participants to ERB’s Milestones Interim Assessments, cover pedagogical philosophies for using interim assessments, and engage participants in planning for the effective use of interim assessment in their school.

Data and Insight

This workshop provides participants with training on 360 Access specific to the product(s) that the school uses. Shorter workshops will focus on an overview of the platform, whereas longer workshops will include detailed training on each report available and advanced functionality.

This workshop covers statistical terminology and norm information used on ERB reports, reviews score report options, provides introductory or advanced level report interpretation training, and guidance on which reports to use with which stakeholders.

This workshop includes a custom analysis of your current and historical data along with a detailed discussion of how to use this information to further your school’s academic, admissions, and/or social-emotional learning goals.

This workshop provides guidance on how educators can use assessment data to empower students to take an active role in choosing, achieving, and demonstrating competency in their learning goals

This workshop will focus on ERB’s COVID era research into impacts on student learning. Longer sessions will include discussion on school-specific COVID impacts as demonstrated by current and historical assessment data.

Talking About Testing

This workshop is for schools that would like ERB facilitators to explain to parents ERB’s testing philosophy and how to understand their child’s score report. Student sample data will be used during the presentation.

This workshop focuses on identifying current attitudes towards standardized assessment, aligning administrator attitudes with faculty attitudes, and building understanding and skill in using data as a powerful tool in an educator's tool box.

This workshop is designed to empower administrators and faculty to discuss school, class, and individual student assessment data with various stakeholders - including colleagues, Boards, parents, and more. Participants will be invited to role play scenarios to build skill and practice terminology.

This workshop focuses on tips and tricks for creating student comfort and confidence during standardized testing, as well as helping students to become agents in their own learning.

Social Emotional Learning and Student Well-Being

This workshop is an introduction to SelfWise and Check-In Survey. Program highlights, general implementation, and an introduction the program platforms will be covered.
